How
Do I Use The River Monitor?

Are you looking for information about local water conditions? If so,
here is how you find it.

1. Choose the area
|
|
|
The database of the River Monitor is a unique combination of
GIS technology powered by VERTICES and water statistics
organized by local authorities. Click on the areas of interest
on the map to find water sampling information.
When you¡¯ve selected a water sampling location, click
¡°View Detail¡± in the information summary for more details
and pictures.

2. View list
|
|
|
To select a certain sampling point or to search by a city,
use the navigation controls on the right part of the map.
|
|
|
When you select a water sampling location from the list, the
map will automatically zoom into the location of the point and
show the summary of information. When ¡°view detail¡± is
selected, more detailed information will be available.
|
|
|
3. Select any marker
You may also click on any marker on the map to select a sampling
point. The summary of information will appear, and you can click
on the View Detail link for more detailed information.

Do you have any water sampling information and pictures that you want to
share with the River Monitoring community?
Here's how you do it.

1.
If you are not a member
yet, you must first register
|
|
|
To register, simply click the EDIT button located within the ¡°view detail¡± box, as shown
above. Once
selected, a box like the one adjacent will appear asking for
login and password. If
you are a new member, this is where you create one, if you are a
returning member, simply enter your information.

|
2. Log in
Once you have registered, any time you want to contribute any
sampling information, location, or image, log-in.
|
|
|
3. Data Entrance
|
|
|
|
When you choose a data sampling point, you may adjust all
fields of data. You
may add information for a new year and pictures.
|
|
|
|
Once you are satisfied with your information, click the
¡°close¡± button located at the bottom of the box and you will
return to your home screen with the information saved to the
River Monitor database.
