The 2024 HWP Food Accessibility Community Mapping Project focused on examining food access conditions through spatial data and community-based indicators. The project explored how different types of food outlets, neighborhood characteristics, and accessibility factors intersect across local areas.
Using mapping tools and curated datasets, participants analyzed food environments to better understand patterns related to access, availability, and proximity. The project emphasized data cleaning, categorization, and visualization as core skills for translating complex datasets into meaningful community insights.
