How to Use Mappler
Mappler is a customizable smartphone-based community participatory mapping application that allows community members to map amenities and concerns.
Download in the Apple App Store or Google Store
Setting up Mappler
STEP 1
Find Mappler in the Apple App Store (or Google Store) by searching for "MapplerK3".
STEP 2
Once the app downloads sign in or set up your Mappler account if you don't have one.
STEP 3
After setting up your account, you'll receive an email from Mappler to verify.
STEP 4
Go back to the log in screen and sign in.
Viewing the Map
Look up "srts meharry" and join the community map (You may need to close the app and rejoin for it to process).
The app will open the map. You can zoom in/out to view the area. Click on the button in upper right hand to get to your current location. To add a new plot point, tap on the button in the bottom right.
You can view existing data by clicking on the pinpoints. If you click on the arrow, you can see all the data.
To edit/ delete the data click on the options button on the upper right hand corner.
Adding New Data
STEP 1
To add a new plot point tap on the button on the bottom right.
STEP 2
When adding a new point it will go to your current location. If you want to change the location, click on the blue button in the upper right hand corner.
STEP 3
Once you find your desired location click OK at the bottom.
STEP 4
You can add a photo with you camera or photo gallery.
STEP 5
Once you have labeled the photo, answer the questions that pertain to the location.
STEP 6
When you're done answering the questions label your name and click save.
STEP 7
Once you save your data it will show up on the map like so.
Other Features
You can view all the data point on the second tab.
The third tab shows your profile information.
The last tab is the settings.
